Privacy Policy

Short version: we don't ask for your data, there are no accounts and no cookies, and your tooltips never leave your browser. A few outside services do load when you open the page, and they can see your IP address. They are listed below.
What stays on your device
Everything you type, pick or upload in the editor is handled in your browser. The tooltip and the PNG are created on your device, and export and import codes are made there too. Nothing about your tooltip is sent to or saved on our server. We don't use cookies or local storage.
Visitor counter
We use GoatCounter, a small privacy-friendly analytics tool, to see how many people visit and how often Download PNG is clicked. It sees the page, where you came from, your browser and system type, screen size and country. According to GoatCounter, it uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses or follow you around. It never sees what you put in your tooltip.
Fonts and scripts from other servers
Two things are loaded from outside servers, which means your browser makes a quick request to them and shares basic connection info like your IP address:
- Google Fonts (Merriweather and Open Sans), from Google. Google's privacy policy.
- html2canvas, the library that turns the tooltip into a PNG, from Cloudflare's cdnjs. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web host, they keep routine technical records of visits to keep the servers secure and running. We don't use these records to look at individual visitors, and how Hostinger handles and deletes them is described in Hostinger's privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Links such as Discord take you to platforms with their own privacy policies. We don't see or store anything about what you do there.
